Another damn nuisance call. Some recorded woman's voice trying to convince me there are two fraudulent transactions on my bank account, press number one to get details etc. As it happened, I'd just been checking my bank account online, but I wouldn't have believed her anyway, as that's not the way my bank would contact me. This pathetic scam originated from a number in Knighton, a small town in Powys about ten miles from my house. Whoever you are, try and get a life!

I'm guessing spam - didn't let them get far to find out as I kept quizzing them about who they were and never confirming who they are supposed to be talking to. Said they were from a company called something like brnza (couldn't quite understand the accent) saying they want to email me something on behalf of Dell and they read out an email address they wanted me to confirm (which of course I wouldn't). I basically said this call is unauthorised, I refuse you to email me anything and do not call me again.

My work phone was called by this number, and got a recorded message, ostensibly from my bank, saying the two large transactions, one of which was to Amazon for £999 had been blocked, and said that I had a choice to either release the transactions or speak to a representative. This number is supposedly based in Slough, but that's not where my bank is, so I ignored it.
Uber Eats customer service is extremely unhelpful and was unable to verify whether this was an Uber Eats phone call or not

The exact number was 01340 831714. After searching it here, I called the number back. It has a BT call screener on it. A Scottish sounding older lady picked up the phone. I told her my name and said I'd had a missed call from her number at 7:47am this morning (3-3-23). Her reply? "No, not me, no you haven't" and then she put the phone down. A scam offering 40% off your O2 account. - I know it is a 100% scam as (a) I have had one of these calls before and (b) I ceased to be an O2 customer 4 years ago. Suspect someone hacked their site or an ex-employee has flogged their data to scammers. Foreign guy said he'd send a special code in a text/email but to not divulge it to anyone - probably because everyone gets the same and they don't want you to compare notes!

Phoned this afternoon. An automated voice declared that it was a call from "security at your bank", so at least the scammer doesn't even know which bank he is supposed to pretend to be. Allegedly, two probably fraudulent card transactions had been detected, one for £300 to Amazon and one of a transfer abroad of £1,100. A menu of options was read out, at which point I hung up.
Received a call from this number today at 9:15am and the line was silent then the call ended.

Caller ID said it was Gourmet Burger however the person that spoke sounded like they were in a call centre reading off a script. When I asked them to repeat what they had said they hung up.
Like the previous person who reported this number, I also received a text message with the same message. Firstly, I am not expecting a parcel. Second, I too am always in. And thirdly, the message came through at 00.16 am….!! I don’t know of any post office employee who would be calling or trying to deliver a parcel at just gone midnight…! SCAM
