Scam call, spoofing Starling Banks number from abroad, first they will make a small transaction from Groupon or Amazon to make it look as if they know fraudulent activities has taken place on your account and how much for, then they will claim a much larger amount has been attempted but cancelled by them. Once they have you in they'll attempt to extract details of your account, please hang up and call Starling back if this is the case!

We received a call from 0141 555 4854 with a recorded message telling us of unauthorised transactions on our card? One was £300 for Amazon and then £1, something (I lost the will at this time). I could press 1 to cancel or 2 to speak to the team. I have hung up ad blocked the number.but I know they can change the number to show anything they like. Why or why are the authorities not doing more to catch these scumbags.

A Asian guy called saying I have been awarded a 30% discount for being a loyal customer O2 customer. i Left O2 over a couple of years ago, so I checked the number out online while he was talking and the number was listed as a scam call, so knew it was a scam. He said he was going to pass me to customer service. I then spoke to the next Asian guy who said he would send me a message and to except it (phone malware). SCAM received several phone calls via WhatsApp demanding payment for providing a service befor anything would be done. Lady admitted was of German origin and was ringing from Bournemouth. Payment was to be via PayPal or Amazon gift cards only, on refusal became more aggressive.

Said they were carphone warehouse. They hung up when I said I don't have anything from carphone warehouse. Seemed fishy...

This is a HSBC Bank scam claiming to confirm a withdrawal of a large amount of money for me was $3700. Then claims someone has access to your account and that they can fix this. Total scam don't even have a bank account with HSBC.

SCAM Called my landline at 15.01 on 1 June - female voice saying something like "I am the supervisor for this area "and something about an attic ... I asked her to slow down as I could not hear her properly - she went on talking very quickly and when I said "Stop and tell me what you are talking about" She then seemed to bang the phone down.

Fraud - phone number given in a text pretending to be from Halifax about unusual transaction

Call claimed to be from Vodafone retentions department promising me a 40% discount, asked me a bunch of security questions and then asked me to read him the code from a password reset email that he had triggered on my Vodafone account. This apparently would enable him to send me the priority app so I could access 5G calls and VIP features. Alarm bells at this point. I said I'd call him back then checked with Vodafone. They confirmed that this is not a number they use and not to give out any information. SC
