This came up on the phone display as a name/number in my contacts list. Then an Indian voice spoke and told me I was a valued customer and drivelled on in broken dialogue. I put phone down on him. 1471 told me it was this number and the call has appeared in my WhatApp.

SCAM just about to check my accounts ( just in case I’m wrong!) but it was a recorded call alleging a suspicious transaction to a money transfer service. No bank id provided and asked to press buttons to connect to “service team”

Caller said they were from O2. Said there was suspicious activity on my account, then a text turned up that looked to have come from O2. The text had a code number that they wanted to "prove I was the account holder. I'm sorry. This is an obvious scam. They'd use that code to hijack my account, change the address, and order as many high end phones and tablets as O2 would let them. Automated mail saying there had been charges to my bank card. Checked online banking and can't see anything. Will obviously monitor my account but my bank would have called me from a corporate number surely!

I received a call from an Asian sounding female saying she was from Havering council asking if I need snd housing repairs . Her accent was quite wrong snd when asked to repeat her request she huffed and puffed as if it was annoying her .

Known scam 0845 and 0843 numbers call for a second or two. They rely on you to call back as the number looks official. You are then played a recorded message that is designed to keep you on the line as the call is charged at over a £1 per minute. So you end up paying for the scam and your phone company probably won't help as you made the call willingly.

SCAM men claim to be from "para mba" organisation but do not say from where hi have my data .I ask him simple but random question what they do but hi claim that "we cross wires" and hi add"good luck in your job search". The man has an Asian accent and says that because I have not had any call outs for my heating within the last year they are going to reduce my monthly payments to £24.99 and then puts me onto his manager to sort out the paper work, etc. The manager comes on, he also has an Asian accent and says just to clarify things to give him my Bank sort code number. I immediately said no and hung up. definitely a scam, please do not give them any information regarding your bank details.

A scam call (standard visa dept suspicious payments scam) told me his name is Oliver Reed and I should call 02081447612 which he said was the number for "Nat West Anti Fraud Dept." I checked, it isn't. So I suspect the number is to the third-level scam master.

Fraud - foreign-sounding caller purporting to be from VISA Security. When I asked which VISA account the suspect transaction was on the caller swore and hung up. I don't believe that is VISA policy or that VISA fraud investigation works from a questionable domestic number appearing to be in Stafford.

As with the previous review, received a text supposed to be from Apple telling me my wallet features have been put on hold, due to an unusual transaction, and to visit the link in the text message. Needless to say I have not got an Apple wallet and did not click the link. I assume it's a scam.

Call is coming from location in Russia. On answering it just goes dead.

Answered because it was a local number, it was a recorded message informing me she was from Visa protection (or some such) and a £300 payment to Amazon and £1000 and odd to elsewhere were pending, press #1 for help if I had not authorised them. An unnerving scam, could easily catch someone out. Blocked.

These are indian individuals making scam calls presenting them as phone companies and scam you.

I received an unsolicited call today from this number. The caller hung up as soon as I answered. I did a quick search of the number and found several scam alerts. Be aware and don't answer calls from numbers you don't recognize.
