Fake BT Open Reach Indian call centre. "other IP addresses are using your internet connection". Want to connect to your PC (potential to raid personal data etc.). Rang off when I said I wanted to check they're not fraudsters.

15/01/21 Received automated call using american accent claiming to be from Revenue and Customs. I do not believe however that this was legitimate revenue and customs because they would have sent a letter detailing any taxes that were due in order to release any packages i had imported. Also the call would not have had the threatening tone that it developed at the end where it advised me to ready my legal team for further action, had I not returned the call. i have blocked the number

Caller who sounded Indian said she was from the telephone preference service and calling to say it had expired as - she was just getting to this - the bank card used had expired. She first asked how the telephone bill was paid. As the service is free I rang off.

Smart Alec who lies, saying he spoke to another member of staff last week who didn t know much (back handed compliment) Trying to sell I.T. programs and associated bits. Just mention the Telephone Preference Scheme and the half million pounds fine if he continues. It works.
SCAM Spoke to me for a few seconds to confirm that I didn't sound like an easy target then rapidly cut me off. I can only assume they are scamsters probably not calling from this number, but spoofing it.

A couple of days ago I got two text messages confirming an appointment" in East Dulwich London. Needless to say I had no such appointment. I checked the address and it appeared to be a company renting out marquees. I also checked the phone numbers and thus I found this site. Now they have started ringing me but leaving no message. Either they have a wrong number, they are scammers or they are timewasters.

Had a Scouse accent and said they were calling from First Call Ltd carrying out a survey on an accident that I had more than 2 years ago. They said they obtained my information from the insurance company and were checking to make sure that I had received good service. I believe they received this information from "Compare the Market" and not my insurer. Caller said she was from Virgin Media and she could fix the internet problems that she had detected. I don't have any Virgin services but I was curious. She asked what colour lights were on the router and I said there were no lights. Eventually she called me a bastard and hung up.
Company claiming they had my details from an accident I had had and got stroppy when I kept telling them they had wrong number. Tried to claim it was right number so must be someone else in my "household" who had reported an accident. The number is a business phone solely for my use so they were just talking rubbish.
