Scam... If I don't call back face the legal consequences!
Didn't answer as i suspected was dodgy. Our area code residential numbers don't start with 9.
Claimed to be from BT Openreach, when I asked where he got my number from he threw a load of verbal abuse at me to which I responded that he's obviously not from BT Openreach and hung up.
They asked for my husband, who has had a separate number for 15 years. So, they must be buying numbers from an old database

Have had 11 calls in the last 2 days. !!
I had letters and calls from Taurus which I stupidly ignored. I was taken to Court and at the hearing a hearing a gentleman advised me to discuss debt issues. He said Taurus Debt Recovery have a lot of account holders on benefits and they have a friendly and supportive team. I would encourage anyone with debts with them to talk to Taurus. If you don t contact them they will issue court claims and or issue bankruptcy.

Automated call stating that the call was from Amazon Prime and that the prime account was going to auto re-new imminently by direct debit. If I wanted to speak to someone then hang on the line... Strange as I don't have an Amazon Prime account... so go figure... Also tried phoning number back and "lo and behold" the number is not recognised... I would be VERY aware of this...

Don t know how they got my cell number. I don t know anyone/company in Birmingham. Just another scam merchant. I blocked their call and didn t give them the chance to say anything.
This is help link trying to flog boilers and solar told them I was not intrested they became very hostile so I hung up and have now blocked there number

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Rang me twice. When I picked up they said it was from Curry’s PC world, saying they had a promotions for phones and asked what phone I was using now. I said I wasn’t interested, and they hung up without saying anything else. It was quite hard to hear as their environment was loud, sounded kind of like a call centre in India. I’m not a Curry’s shopper so I doubt the legitimacy of this, probably a scam.
