Answered this tonight after repeated calls, its a PC scam where they get you to look at your event viewer then try to convince you to download software so they can take over your computer.. DO NOT ANSWER. Or... If you do, do what I did, keep them on the phone for 10 mins then tell them you know its a scam!

SCAM Male called at 10.30am 22/2/21. Stated he was from Domestic Appliance Care. Not Domestic and General. We have a policy with D&G and this man gave details of our appliances we have covered. Is that right?" Clearly phishing. I asked "Who informed you?" and was put on hold. I was tempted to see what would happen next but decided to hang up.

This number rang at 11.48 this morning. Recorded message (male) purporting to be from BT about suspicious activity on my internet account which was going to be disconnected. I have had these calls before so I just disconnected and blocked the number. Last week I had an unsolicited call from a different number, again a recorded message about something to do with grants for insulation etc. My number is obviously in the hands of yet another group of scammers so expecting a few more!
