Impossible to make out the company due to the thick accent but definately was talking about life insurance. "Didn't want to sell me anything" but kept talking after I repeated TWICE that I wasn't interested and please delete my number.
Called me, answered, they said they were one of the magazines who are part of Bauer Media. I am indeed a previous subscriber of that particular magazine, albeit it via ?1 for 3 issues trial offers . This time around, they asked how I felt about the magazine, if I had any feedback about it, and then to thank me they offered me another trial subscription of 3 issues for ?1.
Sounded like call centre in the background. Refused to talk me once I answered, just said hello 3 times then hung up.

A woman with a Middlesborough accent tried to interest me in solar panels, saying she was from The Energy Reduction Company. When I asked how she got my number she said it was on their database & when I told her I was registered with TPS she said she d get it removed - but I doubt it as I ve been called by this number before, though not giving the same company name. I have reported them to TPS.
