Claimed to be from Virgin, calling about internet. Got increasingly frustrated with me when I said I didn’t recognise the number and would call Virgin myself. Didn’t believe the guy with Indian accent and I hung up when he wouldn’t go away. Scary as it sounded like a big call centre in the background and it would be easy to get sucked in. Hope everyone hangs up and karma catches up with what I believe are scammers.
The phone number is one used by Barclays but in my case certainly spoofed as they were after details that Barclays have said they would never ask for over the phone (DoB, Mothers maiden name etc.)

SCAM !! Pretended they were from my mothers bank after sending her a text pretending it was from her daughter who needed money. Scammed her out of £2800. Voice on phone was English. Caller says you've suspicious transactions on your card, knows your name and last four digits of the card. Asks you to check the balance, in my case without any security questions.
