He then said I had a balance to pay on the account and would I like to pay by card. I had suspicions though and said I would do it online - he asked why, at which point I was really suspicious and called up Scottish Power who didn t know the number, and said my account was in credit. Asked for bank details claiming to be from a company I work for. I know this number is not related to the company and they are horrified this has happened.

So far I ve received two calls from this number within 24hrs after an online enquiry for broadband & phone with EE. I was just "shopping around" for a better deal. I don t think I ll bother to look any further now if this is what s going to happen as a result, with endless and unauthorised telesales calls. this number has been calling and harrasing me and my friends, making death threats and using explicit language.

Rang me claiming that I had an accident on the road in the past 2 years, I have not. People were heard laughing and messing around in the background. Do not trust them, ask them to take your name off the list as I did. Price comparison websites for car insurance had to have passed on me and my partners number as he got the same call straight after me

They called my mobile and left a message for me to phone with meter readings (even though I sumitted them on-line in last 30 days). They get paid for each reading, without them collecting it. So my energy provider has increased costs(passed onto the customer) to receive something they already have. I ll save costs for me and my provider by submitting on-line.
