Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 12179005xx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with financial services, trading on-line (also reported from different countries - international call centre). Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). Folks did they call you with the same or something new? James claimed he was from BT (i may have misheard this) and that my Router had been infected. He wanted my password so he could get into my system and correct the fault. I asked for his number and said i would call back. He said his extension was 601570
This line should belong to some company, but no remark on internet about it. Haven't found any info for this one, people does anyone have some experience with this number? Be aware if this number calls, it is for a shared costs, so better not to call back. Have checked also different formats of this number, but no luck. As people do search for this number, it should be used, so be aware.

Update for my entry 19/04/17. Call from this number received after placing ad on Gumtree to sell a car. Caller spoke with South Asian accent, claiming to represent, MTA Solicitors regarding a Road Traffic Collision. I contacted MTA Solicitors directly. They do not make or condone cold calls whatsoever. Any cold call received where the caller purports to be from or acting on behalf of MTA Solicitors, should be treated as fraudulent.
