Has rung twice and hung up, local number to me so thought it was legitimate. On my block list now....
Asked about a car accident - haven't has one so must be purely speculative. Claimed to be 'First Source Contact' but wouldn't engage in any further enquiry.
Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. Indian sounding person said his name was John called claiming to be from BT and that our internet connection could be accessed and our personal information could be compromised. he asked me to go on to my computer and he will guide me through what to do. Then i Put the phone down.

Today someone rang from "Department of Claims", about a premium bank account and was asking for personal information that could be used for identity fraud. Avoid!!
very noisy call centre. usual patter, how are you today etc claptrap.. said they are offering incentives in my area, they are asking about life planning, at that point I cut them off. Nuisance call,when is this harassment going to be stopped...I will report as usual to the ICO, probably another waste of time, great job if you can get it..

Second silent call from this number in 2 days. Picked it up as it is a local number to me.
Supposedly from O2 saying that it was unable to process my latest bill so I need to update my payment details - I am not an O2 customer so this is most likely a scam.
Ring almost daily, usually at lunchtime. Sometimes leave a message which means I have to check voice mail - very annoying.
Follow up call came from a mobile number with a restricted access after original contact came from above number. Wanting to discuss shares from a previous employer and an offer that was to be put forward by minor company shareholders.
Cuts off before answer m/c kicks in.

Phoned said my name then said its your bank we need to veryfi unusual activity on your bank account, give me your full name, address date of birth. I said NO, he insisted and I said NO, you have phoned me I don't know who you are he then hung up. I contacted my bank immediately and it was not one of their phone numbers.
What sounded like an automated message in Chinese. Call then ended. No idea who it was or what it was for.
