this number has been calling and harrasing me and my friends, making death threats and using explicit language.

An Indian voice, named James !, confirmed my details claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service and asked if I was still getting unwanted calls. I confirmed that I still get these and he informed me that I needed to update my details with them as it was about to expire. He then asked if I paid by direct debit - at this point I realised this to be a scam and ended the call.

Answered this tonight after repeated calls, its a PC scam where they get you to look at your event viewer then try to convince you to download software so they can take over your computer.. DO NOT ANSWER. Or... If you do, do what I did, keep them on the phone for 10 mins then tell them you know its a scam!

Rang this morning and warned me that one of our computers was generating spam emails in my name. Mike Reed gave me a 32 digit number which he claimed was a Microsoft licence number for all our computers on our network. As I know that each computer has its own licences number I told him I would check this my self and call him back. He gave me this number which I am now checking.
