Same scam as call from 0121 794 8637 claim to have got my (ex-directory) number from the non-existent Department of Road Accident Statistics.
had a call put through to this number to check if a PPI claim for my elderly MUm was valid. Mum hadn t borrowed any money in the first place.
on 22 june the above number 0161 8735544 rang my son and said that an amount of ?1500.00 was waiting to be claimed fir whiplash for a accident he had in 2009 foulishly he gave them details including his mobile phone number and said they will ring him on monday 25th june to follow this up. I have rang this number as i suspected it was some sort of scam and what a surprise the number disconnects when u ring it.I would like to know how they got our landline number when we are ex directory and registered with
