SCAM Called them back withholding my number and asked where they got the list of phone numbers. The girl with an American accent said they would have to get their research department to call me back and asked for my number. Naturally I didn't want to give it and asked to connect me directly, but she said she didn't have a direct line and would have them call me back. SCAM I was told my internet had been hacked and they wanted me to connect my computer to internet and they would get it sorted told them I would ring my internet provider and sort it with them and they hung up on me
Said something about being just about to email over financial trading reports for spread betting. When asked if they had the wrong number they hung up - presumably expecting me to call back.

Answered the call and it was a civil servant helping me with my benefit payments. Perhaps others would rather not hear from the DWP(!) but if you re expecting a call as I was then it s probably best to accept it.
