Randomly called, not in so went to answerphone, no message left. If it is British Gas, I have never and will never an account with them, so must be marketing in addition to debt chasing as indicated above.

Lady called, knew my name and address, very noisy line, said I would be getting letter in post and that I was due a refund on credit card. I asked what credit card and she couldn t answer just asked if I d had a credit card before 2009 I said no and she hung up!

This number keeps ringing me on a regular basis, very annoying, they don t seem to want to listen to "p**s off"

They collect on all gov debt. Pretty rude company and very unorganised however they are legitimate. If you deal with them make sure you keep records of the conversations as they may lose information and forget conversations had, even if they call you a hour after you have called them

Its Vanquis Bank chasing payments. When they cant raise you on their usual numbers they get sneaky and divert via an STD code local to you.Its a bit sneaky but they do have a genuine reason for needing to talk with you

A man called Angus introduced himself. I could barely make out what he was saying over what sounded like a busy call centre room. It sounded a bit like Pay Day Loan solutions. I heard the words "pay Day" distinctly.

"Mary" called and very persistently tried to tell me there is a problem with my Windows computer. Didn t seem to put her off her stride that I don t have any Windows computers.

this is a total scam ... called me 50 times in the last week... woman with a scottish acsent asked for me by name ... stated as if it was a fact that id had a road traffic accident my reply was apparently so, her response was what date was it so i asked her what her computer told her because thats obviously right, to which she hung up ... honestly some people should not be aloud telephones, tried calling back 4 times just on hold then says "goodbye" and hangs up.... load of tripe
