SCAM, they will claim to be HMRC and say that you have a tax fraud case against you and that you will shortly be arrested if you dont press 1. this is obviously a scam, dont press anything just hang up

At 8.28am today 8/3/21 SCAM telephone call about our Amazon a/c and how we had to press button 1 to speak to someone - all lies and rubish. Its the Amazon Scam be warned.

Same here with the Outlook voicemail that looks like it was going to expect me to log in. Email was littered with assurances about the sender being trusted and the contents having been scanned by a virus checker. Was for an email address I once used (only) for a pension provider. The addresses must have been leaked.

Sales team pitch

SCAM Dangerous Number. This is related to Microsoft scam who will tell you there is an issue with your PC, gain access and then wipe out your bank accounts after locking you out of your computer. You then get further harassment calls from them trying to "give your computer back" so they can gain further access/exploit more cash from you. Key targets are older or vulnerable people. Be safe.

Caller telling me that I had a problem with my computer and that an engineer was going to talk me through fixing it. They did have my name but I knew this was a scan so just put the phone down.

Some landline from London area, this is definitelly some call centre, there are more similar numbers reported for calling people. Have seen different reasons of individual calls, just be aware that one number used by the same call centre can be after short period of time used for another purpose. I recommend to block the whole 2036342xxx range... Did someone answer THIS number?

Received a phone call from this number saying they were from BT Technical department and asked me to turn my computer on as the iternet is running slow. I said can you confirm my name and account number before I go any further. They gave me a random number

SCAM Received a text alert claiming to be from HALIFAX “A new payee has been linked in your app. If this WAS you, ignore this message, if NOT, cancel at Halifax: cancel-payelink.com. Firstly I don’t have an account with Halifax. Secondly, there is a payerlink but no payelink i.e. with the missing “r”.

Called me and hung up when I answered, I rang back twice was on hold twice and the call was released twice, on further investigation it's an injury lawyers line.
