Got a call from this number I tried to explain we have terminally ill person in house and needed phone lines clear ( my father has cancer) they just laughed and put phone down. After calling a further 9 times in 3 hours I asked to speak to a manager who came to phone and proceeded to laugh through my explanation and put phone down. I then blocked the number so they rang a further 10 times from international withheld and either blasted sirens or just laughed down phone .

Vanquis Bank are sneaky and use lots of different telephone numbers to trick you into answering. For your convenience, I have listed many of the telephone numbers that they use below. If you answer calls from these numbers you may be charged for Debt Management so buy a BT8500 and stop all of these calls easily. I was called from an unknown Brighton number last week also. It was another one starting with 6 . I looked it up and the comment was that it was a dangerous number. ...

Despite registration with the TPS, I had two cold calls about an alleged car accident in which I was involved but I do not own a car and certainly was not involved in an accident on the date claimed. The caller claimed to be from a company called Solicitors Law Firm and to have got details of my alleged accident from the UK National Traffic Department but as far as I can ascertain neither organisation exists. They witheld their phone number but claimed to be calling from 01527 821239.

Some scammers need putting in an asylum for all the stupidity that they display. In this case, why would 'O2' want your bank details to renew a contract when it should...

Repeated calls, cut off when I answer or my answermachine cuts in. Google the number, you ll see many forums are complaining that this number is that of Business Census , and it s data-gathering for resale. Calls border on harassment. Complained to BT and TPS.
