Remember, anyone who cold calls you, (especially when you are registered with the TPS), is highly likely to be at best disreputable or at worst an out and out fraudster. This company?s number shows up on caller ID but when you call back it says number not recognised. When I did answer to them they said they were checking that we were not getting any nuisance calls, I said we were not until they called and then they hung up.

Claims he is calling from a company called Assist Co, government backed, claiming that he can make me "debt free". When I asked how didn t he know that I may already be debt free, he said this is why he was calling! Told him I wasn t interested and added this number to my rejected calls list. Asked his where he got my details from, just kept on repeating that he was government backed. Cannot find any info relating to Assist Co on Google
