Indian caller, said she was calling from Windows helpdesk - surely it would be called Microsoft Helpdesk, anyway the scammers just hung up when I started laughing at them. They really annoy me because they prey on the weak and vulnerable in our society.

ANY call about problems with your computer, broadband, router, viruses, IP address, broadband being cut off, offering discounts, etc., IS ALWAYS A SCAM. DO NOT be intimidated...

It s the right format for a UK premium rate number, usually for TV and radio competitions and phone-ins.

Number not known to us, therefore did not answer call, no message left and number now blocked on our phone line.

So glad I ve just looked on hear, did get them to check and they said yes due for refund, lucky I guess for me I didn t have the funds to pay the £400 fee, but did receive lots of calls and also a solicitors letter, all ignored and haven t heard from them since, thanks to everyone s comments think I ve saved some money

Called my sister in law asking for the wrong person then who did she use for her phone provider say9ing they could save her money then asked for her bank details. Adios!

They phoned me earlier. Couldn t understand what she was saying but I heard £1000 because your a home owner (I m a private tenant). I asked her to hold and just put call on mute. Managed to get to 1 min 47 before they ended the call haha

Commenting on behalf of my mother in law. They called telling her that her washing machine warranty was expiring (a lie)and was duped. When I called to complain they were confrontational and when she called back to cancel they would not put her through the correct department. Unprofessional sharks - avoid.
