caller didnt announce himself, just asked me to confirm personal details but when i asked, he claimed to be from "the nationwide". He had my name, phone number and postcode. He wanted me to confirm my age but as soon as i asked him further questions he hung up and ended the call. This was obviously not a legitimate call from the nationwide building society.

Claims he is calling from a company called Assist Co, government backed, claiming that he can make me "debt free". When I asked how didn t he know that I may already be debt free, he said this is why he was calling! Told him I wasn t interested and added this number to my rejected calls list. Asked his where he got my details from, just kept on repeating that he was government backed. Cannot find any info relating to Assist Co on Google

Another call from this 08437240176 scammer trying to flog cavity wall insulation. Remember, anyone who cold calls you, (especially when you are registered with the TPS), is highly likely to be at best disreputable or at worst an out and out fraudster. Never take up any offer from a cold caller. Option at the end of the call to press 9 to have your number removed; however, I did that last week and have received the same call twice since then. We had exactly the same situation happen as described above, Sarah Parker was incredibly aggressive and rude to both myself and my Director on numerous occassions when we tried to question her over her fictional invoice, when i asked to speak to her manager she hung up on me.
