As per other comments, SUSPECTED to be L&G, as I've recently (yesterday!) purchased insurance with them. Usually, I give a fake number, but worried about the old chestnut of "lying on an insurance application" - even if it was only my phone No. However, I'm pretty sure I "unticked" all the contact options - I specifically DON'T want them contacting me, unless it's requested contact, in relation to a claim.

Silent call when I tried to ring the number came back as not a real phone number and hence could not connect-suspicious
This number rang me and said I had enquired about solar panels, not insurance. They've changed tact.
