Caller ID identified the call was from Bishops Stortford. The caller said he was from O2 offering a 30% discount on my tariff. I told him I was suspicious of this call, he diverted me to another person who repeated the discount spiel. Asked why I'd be getting a discount, he said many complaints to O2 has led them to offer 'selected customers' a discount; I wouldn't have to give him any personal details, he would send me 2 texts. so I told him to sod off and disconnected the call. Reported to the ICO

Silent call Some heavy breathing, lol!! Apparently from “Leeds Tank”????!! Said: “the office is now(14.30pm) closed, please ring again between 9am and 5pm”. Putting this in the “rude comedy scam” label. It CANNOT SURELY be a genuine bona fide call. I suspect the “Closed at UK time 14.30” aspect makes it a foreign caller, disguised: SUSPICIOUS!!

Definite scam. Claimed (falsely) to be Harry from Carphonewarehous3 in London calling because "we have a special offer on new phones today". I live in Scotland, he's calling from London claiming to be a big phone store. They would never ring me like that, nor you either. How could he have got my number legitimately? Very persistent - when I told them I didn't know my postcode they called back the following night. Even provided me with a (mobile!) number I could call to check that they really were Vodafone.

Received a test similar to other reviews about a Loan from Everyday Loans/George Banco/TrustTwo. However, it gave the correct reference number for the loan that I have with them included. Link included shows as a link to their legitimate website to a letter sent to former/current customers about them participating in a scheme to avoid the business going insolvent
