They should not be doing this! There are a few things that you can do to stop them making calls to you in the future, and help to stop them making calls to others. You can register your landline or mobile number for free with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) - an industry body that gives customers the option to outline what kind of calls they are willing to take (opt in) and those they are not willing to accept (opt out). These guys call saying they are from EE and offering special deals. Then they asked for my personal information. When I questioned why they needed my data they stated that the number they called on (which appeared on my handset) if listed on the EE website under the security section. I hung up and checked.
