My phone flagged this as Suspected Spam, so I didn't answer. I don't know anybody in this part of the country and it's the second unknown call from a mobile number in that area in a fortnight. Blocked.

Recieved call from man with thick accent. Couldn't understand him and he didn't seem to be able to respond to my repeated questions about why he was calling me or where he had got my number. Came up as a roofing supplier number on my phone, although a web search for the number also lists it as an MOT centre. Might be a genuine business, but definitely an unwlecome call.

Called me up (I was selling a motorbike on aurtotrader), said he was keen on the bike (only having seen the ad). Then asked for my bank details to pay me a deposit. At the time I thought that was ok, but on reflection why would he give a deposit on a bike he hadn't seen? Also wanted to do it in a hurry, so something not quite right. Not saying a scam, could be innocent but felt a bit weird.

I do not have bt broadband - BT can not technically supply it on this old rural line. I get b/band via radio link frmo an idependent provider which has nothing to do with BT. Do not be duped into calling this number. Claims to be BT openreach technical department. couldn't confirm account holder name. wanted me to use laptop or computer to check speeds. Told him I had done that already this morning and was quite happy with it but he was insisting I tried it on my computer or laptop. I was apparently overpaying for the speed i was getting and should be refunded.?!?!? hung up at that point, I couldn't be bothered listening anymore.
