Claiming I had been in a collision, which I have not. Told them I was registered with TPS and they hung up. Have complained to TPS re the number.

The caller from this number left messages on my mobile in which they said they were calling from my bank and unless i called back they would have to cancel a recent transaction. They are obviously not from my bank ! Not sure what they wanted but I will not be calling back in case it costs me !

Generally when there s a long pause before they answer, it s safe to say it s a call centre that I m going to have zero interest in talking to. Whistle loudly down the phone. They don t tend to call back again. ;)

Called today, asked for me by name (worrying as he said he got my number from price comparison sites, not possible as I always give 999999etc) said he was phoning to overhaul my life insurance .I have been registered with TPS and ex directory for decades.

When I rang back an answer phone came on so I put my phone down in case it was a scam to over charge me.

A "UK Consumers Survey" call, they have my name, and he just carried on (as if really hates his own job) try to verify my personal information which I ve then stopped him and he simply hanged up. DO NOT SAY YOU ARE THAT PERSON --- From now on, my first greeting to any caller would be questioning them. Now I may get even more spam calls by giving out that they have valid information. I guess it is time to change all my passwords as I have a feeling they are phishing and verifying their targets with valid inf

**SCAMMERS** Alert! do not do anything they ask, they may ask you to change settings on your pc or enter info into a site/or download something...these people are hackers who will gain access to your PC and your personal info... to rob your money and sell your data "avoid like the plague"

Still not sure who called, rang it back as expecting contact with Brentford County Court, the call was answered by answer machine that said "Trying to connect you" then some music and then the line went silent so I cut the call when that happened and still no answer. Seems dodgy now but will see if they ring back.
