Wanted to talk about my life insurance policy but said it was an "AIG policy" which it isn't. When questioned on this he repeated the same thing once and then stealthily changed it to say he was working with my provider and AIG. Double checked and the two companies don't appear related. He then started on the spiel where he called it a personal policy which it isn't. Let him continue to waste his time and then told him the truth when he asked at which point he hung up on me. Total scam BS.

I have just received the same call, saying they are working with Nominet. They told me all of the Nominet info about our domain, to make them seem legitimate, but obviously anyone can see this info. I refused to give any info at all, and at that point his tone changed and he said he will send an email confirming who they are. Still waiting for email!!!!!

A very aggressive person claiming to be from BT and Openreach security - didn't ring true but possibly a dangerous scam
claims to be from some HR company mumbled refused to say what it was they actually wanted. We are a small charity and the person dealing with HR not in & I explained I wasn't willing to pass details on unless they told me what their company actually wanted/did still just mumbled his own name & insisted he'd ring back. Call centre noise in background.

Very dangerous. Auto message claiming to be bank fraud office and advising 3 suspect transactions. Asked to press 1 if ok, 3 if not. Did not even give name of the bank! Red flag that auto - they always talk to you in person - they would also want to check that it was actually the custoner talking to! Another red flag re instruction go press button.

This was one of a series of 6 calls starting on Friday 5th that stated they were (or were probably connected )from microsoft ! Different numbers used for each call; no messages left on answerphone. This number called my mobile. I ignored it as number I did not recognise and they did not leave a message. I have not disclosed my mobile number to anyone I do not know. I suspect that they are dialling numbers to see if they get a response and that it is a computer dialling the number. If there is no response within a certain time it dials the next.
