Stated they were eBay phoning to inform me about a new shipping page. I reported this number to eBay and they told me not to speak to this number if they phone again. That doesn't sound like it was from eBay and why would eBay phone customers when they can message them right from the website anyway?

Sound of a busy office in the back ground. Caller asked for me by name. I replied. Caller immediately hung up. I could not call back because destination is silent - no ring tone, engaged tone or unobtainable tone.

This number phoned and a recorded message stated that it was my bank asking to verify that 2 payments made today were genuine and if not to press 1 to speak to a member of the fraud team. No name of bank given so I suspect it to be a scam.

They asked questions about my personal circumstances, bills and boiler. They told me that they had selected me to receive a replacement boiler and asked to send an assessor round. Did not answer as a precaution but rang back as there were no reports on here. Got the usual "The number you have called has not been recognised." This will be #58 on my Don't Answer list.

Called this number back and got a recording saying a member of the claim team had called and would call back. Not got any outstanding claims so it's a cold call.
