Had same text from January 2018 an even sent text STOP in February. Just received another text today which said Freetext but I called my provider VIRGIN who told my there was a charge just for receiving the premium text. I have emailed the address in the text and as per Virgin instructions have texted STOPALL to 70207. When the new data protection laws come in to effect in May I have the right to sue these people!
Found this on BBC News today regarding this type of scam "A cold caller has conned a woman in a south of Scotland village out of nearly £29,000. The incident happened in xxxx, near xxxxxx, on Saturday morning. The man phoned the 59-year-old and claimed to be from BT Openreach and said that he was investigating "suspicious activity" on her computer. He then took her through a series of instructions which allowed him to gain online access to her bank account and remove the money."

I have had a call from this number which I had previously blocked so it went straight to my voicemail where they did not leave a message. I had answered a similar call in the week which I promptly blocked after he started the conversation by saying "Google tells me your name is Karen?" ..... uh ...... no. Someone stop these scammers. Luckily I don't answer any calls which are not saved as contacts on my phone but something needs to be done.
