Our company has an account with Extra Energy already and when I gave our account number to them they just claimed it wasn t valid and continued with their aggressive sales pitch. I asked them to remove our number and hung up. After checking with the real Extra Energy via their website number, they confirmed that our company does have a valid account and that this number is a fake. Chap with an Asian accent (Indian, Pakistani possibly). Knew my full name which concerned me. Said he was calling from "Credit Investigation Department" and that his records show I was currently paying off debts in my name (false). Told him to politely bugger off and remove my number from whatever database he was using. Complained to TPS.
