Just had a call from this number on my house phone. Lots of noise in the background but no one answered and they put the phone down. Called the number back and number is not recognized, so obviously a scam.

Called saying they were from Vodaphine technical team checking on my service. They wanted me to do a speed test first on my laptop, then on my phone. As apperently they were currently working on the line and I was having issues... I'm not with Vodaphone. They eventually hung up.

A neighbour received the same call, and was taken in, passed on to another person and gave bank card numbers (He has now alerted his bank). This is some type of Pakistani scam through a UK, Manchester prefix. Don't pick up, just block the number and report it if possible.

Just taken a call from this number suggesting they were from O2 and wanted to offer me a discount as I paid my bills regularly. The caller was not English speaking, suspect a scam, beware...

SCAM - DO NOT RESPOND This was a recorded message saying two potentially unauthorised payments had been made on my card - one of £300 and an international payment of £1,000 - followed by the option of approving the payments or speaking to someone about them. This sounded like a scam ( there was no mention of which bank the call was from), and so it turned out to be when I checked with the bank.
