After the usual delay, while the auto-dialer connected me to a scammer, I heard a voice with a foreign accent shouting "Phone! Phone!" Then some mumbled words in a foreign language and they hung up. I think they could do with some work on their phone script.

I had a call from this number and was instantly suspicious. I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. They re still trying, even after being blocked as mentioned in previous post. Noon today. No voicemail as usual.

It s a company ringing about debts they think you may have had or have and they try to reference your connection to a survey or some search you ve done possibly connected to you looking for the best credit cards available. Very busy call centre with lots of other people in the background so difficult to hear everything.

Asian male, claiming to be from claims direct, calling about a car accident about a year and a half ago. Could not give any details of vehicles allegedly involved or dates.

Apparently I have had an accident recently (I haven t). My phone is registered with the Telephone Preference Service so they shouldn t even be calling me.

Indian scam artists who call themselves John and Michael who want personal information for identity theft. They are a BT customer and I e-mailed CEO, BT and no response. Now blocked but they will use another number.
