It was about boiler cover, house hold cover for both gas and electric. Asked a couple of questions. Number was marked London - Girl called with a very strong Manchester accent. Didn’t speak at first. Asked her what the call was in regards too.. Apparently I have over paid on car finance? I asked her to remove my number - She stated something about being a liar - I asked what she had just called me to which she replied that she was speaking to her colleague - I replied that it wasn’t very professional. Woman with bad English reading from a script. Said she was from british gas and wanted us to give our postcode, account number and meter number. We said no and she said she would ring back. Obviously a dodgy call centre as other people have said other companies and reasons for the call! BLOCKED!!
A recorded message saying "This is BT your internet and Lind Line will cease to operate from today - press 1 to speak to an advisor or 2 to clear". This is an old scam which has reared its head again with new numbers. Do not press either button or you will be charged for the call and can be very costly. Block the number immediately.
