They cold-call phoned me about renewal of insurance on kitchen white goods. They needed some banking details to alter the payment paperwork because they were giving me a no-claims discount. Knew enough about me to make this plausible. I 'needed to go to an appointment' [actually true] so I had to ask them to phone back tomorrow - which they were readily willing to do. There was a call from this number to my mobile number. The line was awful but there was someone on the other end with a strong Asian accent, which added to the bad line, I couldn't understand a word they were saying. It's a Garstang number and I don't know anyone or aware of any business in that area, so presume the call was a possible scam call.

A chap from a loft insulation company. Seemed genuine but I had my doubts, he didn't tell me what company he was from. He didn't pressure me into buying anything. Just said my loft insulation was inefficient, I just put the phone down and blocked the number.

I do not have bt broadband - BT can not technically supply it on this old rural line. I get b/band via radio link frmo an idependent provider which has nothing to do with BT. Guy said he was from BT technical department! WHat rubbish. He even sent me a pin to agree computer access. I advised him he as a nasty little scammer adn then hung up.
