Said they were calling to offer free inspection of loft insulation because the Government has designated some of the old stuff as "irritant". I asked who they represent and she said they work with a number of companies. I asked what her organisation was and she told me she'd get a manager to ring back in the next half hour. Very pushy guy would not listen at all, would not let me speak trying to sell phones and simply, wanted to know what phone I had. Never gave a company name, never gave me a chance to speak so vut him off. No clue if it was spam, scam etc but definitely worth avoiding!

They should know whose account the transactions were on Second warning sign - As far as I'm aware Visa don't contact people direct, your card issuer will contact you. So it would have been Lloyds, Halifax, barclaycard, etc

Insurance Called from Direct Insurance about my kitchen appliances claiming that as I hadn't made a claim in over a year they could offer me a substantial discount on my renewal fee. The thing is, although I haven't claimed I am NOT insured with this company. I've now had three or four calls and each time I've asked them politely to remove my details from their database but they still keep calling! I told them today I would report them to you.
Mechanical voice says my Amazon Prime subscription will auto renew unless I press 1. As I do not have Amazon Prime I assume it is a scam. Pressing 1 will probably be a premium rate number or a scammer phishing for info.
