The message claimed to be from NatWest asking me to call which I did. I was asked to hold for a good 5 minutes. I was asked for account number and sort code but not for any card details. They said they did not know why I had received the message. When I rang NatWest fraud number they said that this is NOT a genuine NatWest number. Nothing untoward appears to have happened on my account. I await my phone bill!
Apparently my phone has been selected for a ?2,000,000 prize. To good to be true? Absolutely - bin it.

Number called twice, purporting to be from Caernarfon. Hangs up on answering. In my experience this is an auto-dial check to make sure that a real person answers the number. I will no doubt be getting calls from the Indian subcontinent, with the caller using redirect software to make the call appear to be coming from the UK.
