SCAM Had a call from this number 8.45 Saturday morning. Started off saying calling from Virgin media and that my broadband connection was not working properly a d she was going to boost it. Received an unknown call from this telephone number on 21.8.2017 at 18.24 hours. No message left.
If this really is HSBC s fraud dept they are staggeringly incompetent and l am by no means convinced that it is. Question of whether there has been fraud on my account remains unsolved - l was unable to give the exact year that l opened my account - approx 40 years ago - and so failed my telephone security check . May be genuine, but they asked me to repeat the same information re my account so many times that l was suspicious, and would urge caution
