I was called this week by an intrusive salesperson who asked me if I went for walks. I told her I didn t think this was any of her business, and rang off. She immediately rang back and told me This was not the way to do things . Harassment. We got the number from her and rang off. When I want a service, I ll do the callng!

Well they got cut off - put my phone on "do not disturb" 24/7 and "allow calls from contacts" However if you do speak to them and if they ask about an accident best thing is to say "which car?" It gets them every time!

Claimed he was calling from Microsoft. When I said to him that he was making it all up, he told me "If I didn t like it I could shove it up my ass and go F**k myself". Charming. I know my father has picked up the phone before and had the same issues with him. Sounds like the same Asian man.

Supposedly from a credit /bank saying they had stopped a payment to western union. It was a recorded message. I hung up. No idea whether a scam or not. Just be careful.

Repeated missed calls with 1-2 second silent/static answering machine message. I am a Wesleyan customer AND my car insurance is due for renewal soon so I assume it is them electronically dialling me? Never any chance to answer and of course you can t tell who an answering machine message is from until you listen to it, so just an enormous waste of my time.

This number and the previous numbers used are allocated to etctelecom ltd so they may be behind these calls or could do something about them. Try complaining via their website http://etctelecom.co.uk/contact/. Also obviously complain to the ICO also as they do not appear to have enough yet.

Guy with an Indian accent who spoke very fast when he left me a voice mail. I couldn t understand him so thought I would look up his number first, and this is what I found.

When I answer, they put the phone down, they never leave a message and when I called them back, I got an annoying automated message of the person on extension ..... Call Guardian blocked this caller. I returned the call on my mobile which was answered by "Calls UK" "customer services" (on a mobile number?!). Apparently we have a "policy" re: nuisance calls and we will be contacted again. I said we don t wish to be contacted again and, in fact, our "policy" is rubbish. She then hung up on me. Obviously a scam = blocked.
