I will like to know who called me
Not sure, but seemed to want all my ID details to confirm the refund I was to receive in couple of days, and was vague about who was calling, claimed to be some sort of Financial Authority. Number is Manchester area, and with all due respect to friends in Manchester, apart from Blackburn Lancashire, a call centre dialled call from Manchester rings more alarm bells than phone bells.

Fraud a pre recorded message claimed to be from Amazon said they had took payment £ 79 for Prime subscription and to press a number if any queries etc. Amazon do not have my landline and I am not subscribed to annual arrangement.
I was called by someone called Chelsea from carephone who offered me an upgrade phone. She also gave me the number 08448933933 if I had any problems. I did receive the phone but didnt like it. Second time they said they are from Amazon and that someone has tried to buy something on your account. Very insistent and pushy. Asian accent.

Automated/Silent call. One of a series of calls from mobile numbers starting 077 in the space of a few days. Answered first call, where automated voice said, Your Amazon Prime membership has just been renewed at a cost of £79.99. If you want to cancel this payment, press 1. I'd cancelled my Amazon Prime membership ages ago! After the first call, screened next few calls to answer machine where no message was left, just silence. Wish these low life scum would f**k off and die!!

I tried to book a room at The Principal Oxford Spires Hotel, Abingdon Road, OX1 4PS, Oxford and called a number 08448542910 indicated on their website. I had to call twice as there was an automated telephone service and no one was able to answer my phone calls. Last month I saw a charge of 1.38 GBP plus VAT on my phone bill!! What a wrong way to make money!! Looks like the hotel is doing that badly so they have to charge potential customers to simply book a room. According to the reviews on the above number
