I am currently getting 4-5 calls a day from this number and they are driving me insane! They are calling really early in the mornings and at weekend too. I m disabled so don t get up and about too early and these "people" regularly wake me up or sometimes I can t get to phone quick enough so they ring off then I ve just got sat down again or back into bed and they ring again. I ve told them I m not a homeowner or eligible for the grant but they just keep on ringing.........

This is Scottish Power and they don t leave messages. They have been trying to contact me since I told them I was leaving to go to another provider. When you try to call the number back the phone is always engaged. I must get 3 or 4 calls each day but don t answer as I have number recognition and don t want to speak to them. They can call for ever but they are wasting their time.

Called my mobile 4 times, I blocked their number. They left message on answer machine but it was complete silence.

They ve be ringing me for the last 2months, I never answer, just dial 1471 to find their number, get calls all day long, really annoying now so went to their website and requested they remove me from their data bases, this can be done from the contact us option on their website, we will see, Also have my home/mobile number registered with TPS,(telephone preference service)

Number actually shows as 0019798234079 on caller ID but this site seems to drop the 00. This is a Windows security scam where they tell you that you have viruses on your PC and they can fix them for you. Didn t go along with it today and said to them that I suppose they were going to show me errors and warnings in my Windows event logs and they just hung up without any further comment. Hopefully they will remove me from their database if they realise I m too Windows savvy to ever fall for this.

I Got the call twice from this number to my mobile phone within a week. First time its disconnected as soon as I picked the call. Second time someone spoke with me and verified my name by telling the name correctly and asking that have I met with a road accident and claiming. I have replied my name is correct but I didn t met any accident and applying claims. Caller initially claimed to be calling from the University of Sussex, asking me to undertake an online research survey. Then they wanted our email address, and I enquired why was that necessary if the survey was online - all they needed to do was provide me with the web address. The caller later later confirmed they were an independent market research company , and continued to ask for my email address. Of course, I never provided it.

Also note this number 08443380475 that was claiming to be PayPal is a Premium Rate phone number so this means that it will most likely cost you a lot to phone them back on this number. Don t be so daft to phone them back, let them call you if they want to speak to you. They are just trying to get you or me to pay for the call cost. I think the call was regarding a negative balance on my PayPal account. I can t be certain of this, but this is all I can think off as PayPal have never phoned me ever before.
