TAXES / HMRC telling me I had a tax rebate and needed to click on a link
Lady knew my last name and claimed to be from a reputable building society - Nationwide. However, she persisted in asking my first name so after she kept pushing, I told her Mrs . She read it out loud but then realised it wasn t what she wanted and so pushed further n asked my full name. I told her just my first - no middle names, then she said Thank you Mam and hung up!

Trying to send information about funeral plans, this happens a day after my Dad passed away. That call I feel was inappropriate, I know it is something that is going to happen to us all at some point but to cold call is wrong. Thank goodness I answered the call and not my Mum!
FRAUD - Indian call centre wanted to get hold of a BT PIN number they had fraudulently triggered so they could take over my BTInternet account. Reported to BT.

I rang the number 01634250475 & noted when I checked with "who called me" that it stated it was Halifax Bank. So I rang the number and lady with foreign accent answered but she was not employed by Halifax bank so I put the phone down. Hope this helps somewon.

SCAM Received a call today (Indain as usual) about my Sky broadband being slow and this was a free check. Apparently my router has had many problems and is telling their server that my speed is slow!!!! Wanted to know my download/upload speeds and ping! Nuisance call. Don’t call back as you will be charged up to 60p per minute. BLOCK NUMBER on your phone. Any numbers that start with 0752 etc will change you to call them. SPAM and NUISANCE.
