Scams when they told me to pay tax overseas Nepal I clicked its fraught straight away waiting for refund now didn't pay them penny more after charging me £140 upfront money...
Been getting a few calls from this number over the last month, got fed up and answered, all I got was a robot voice saying goodbye before the call disconnected. Was pretty creepy and in general didn t appreciate all the attempts. From what I ve heard these guys are scam artists who atleast have access to vodaphone customer s information, though I m on orange, not the only one on this network to recieve a call from this number, so they most likely have access to their customer database aswell.

"Orlando" called from "You Compare" requesting to speak to Mr [Mobile Phone Owners Surname" regarding life insurance policy which they are reviewing (I don t have a life insurance policy). Advised that he is based in Dakar, Bangladesh and that they use an automatic dialler with my telephone number being obtained from an opt-in database. Called twice within the hour during the evening. Nottingham code. We live hundreds of miles from there! Left answer machine to deal with it. Recorded message saying there was a power cut in our area (there was not) press a number to acknowledge we'd heard the message (we didn't). We unplugged the phone overnight as they'd said they'd let us know when the power would be back on. Odd!
