Called today @ 10:46 by an indian woman advising she was calling from nationwide bank. She asked me to confirm my postcode. When i asked what the call was regarding she repeated where she was calling from & asked about my postcode. I asked again what it was regarding as i dont have an account with nationwide then the line went dead. I tried to call it back to see if genuine but came up as invalid number.

Been getting calls from this number over last few days so called them back. First a woman answered, seemed like it was the last thing she wanted to do and told me the line was bad so she would call me back. No call back so I called again. A man called Joshua stated he was from Lotto Social and would like to offer me 5 free Euro Millions lines for tomorrow night (24/04/2015). Received many calls from same number but just the last digit changes. It is an automated message saying that they are HMRC and that a tax fraud claim is made against me, that I should press 1 and talk to a representative otherwise I will be arrested shortly. It is so annoying as to how they get my number, i have had so many unsolicitored calls recently. Who is selling my information, I am so carefull in completing any online applications with my sensitive details?

Dangerous scam call pretending to be from HMRC. Threatening immediate arrest for non-existent unpaid taxes unless you give them an immediate payment. Just end the call, don t press any keys and if they leave a voicemail don t call it back. There will be no legal consequences, they re just trying to scare you.

Fraud- this number pretends to be from HMRC saying there’s an arrest warrant out for tax evasion. Do not press 1, just hang up and ignore it. HMRC are working with fraud action UK to get to the bottom of this. Share with your relatives especially the elderly who will be frightened by this.
