Automated call calming my Internet would be cut off in 24hours, think ist a phishing scam

Call received twice today , both ignored as number not recognised.

I think this organisation is trying to get people to sign up to let them pursue PPI claims and the like. They hung up when I asked them for their number so that I could pursue a claim with the TPS. 1471 came in handy.

They hangup as soon as I pickup. Have since just let the number ring.

Recruitment agency calling about jobs etc

Absolutely fed up. At least 2 calls a day. It's plain and simple I don't want your call as I never answer it.

This number calls me about 3 times a day, I am at work so cant answer it but when you call it back you just get held and a voice every minute telling you your call is important but you dont get puth through to anyone.

Apologies - this is actually a genuine number - RBS fraud office. Check with your bank to authenticate if you get a call. Some one had accessed my account.

Stated from Dept of Budgetary and Finance, it was obviously a telemarketing call - heard call centre noise in background

I have not answered to these people. Not once. Yet, they call at least weekly. I ve got a years line rental with BT paid for up-front, which allows me to block 99% of unwanted calls (with a BT blocker phone purchased separately, in case anyone was wondering). This caller would likely be asking to speak with Mr Strevitt or Mr Gwendoline. As has been the nature of the calls for the past 3 years. Missed call - voicemail was left by an automated voice with no company details given at all, just a rather threatening voicemail advising beginnings of Lawsuit!!

Caller admitted he was ringing from a call centre, but was polite. Doing market research. Didn't know why this number came up (it's a local number to me).

Not sure, but seemed to want all my ID details to confirm the refund I was to receive in couple of days, and was vague about who was calling, claimed to be some sort of Financial Authority. Number is Manchester area, and with all due respect to friends in Manchester, apart from Blackburn Lancashire, a call centre dialled call from Manchester rings more alarm bells than phone bells.
