SCAM Unusually, this was actually an English person on the other end of the phone rather than a call centre setting from India etc! The number rang my works mobile at 10:05 09/05/2023. The person on the other end spoke very well and professional, saying that they were calling from HSBC, and were making me aware of activity in my account that looked suspicious, that money was being taken out by an advertising firm. This no is from someone providing loans and they say that you have cleared all checks and you have 100% been accepted for the loan you just need to pay £41 to make it a secured loan this is so they can see that they can afford the repayments but another company would only take a £1 to confirm your card is yours and working then they give u it back if what they say is what it's for a copy of your bank statement would be more than sufficient not and the caller id no is false SCAM

He tried the usual of scaring me into thinking was something wrong – this time by looking at event viewer. 01223931099 rang with a very loud background noise proporting to be a call centre. The caller, with a strong foreign accent, alleged he was from sky refund centre; however, when I said ok in a less than enthusiastic manner, the caller hung up. This is most unlike any sky call centre I have experienced. I suspect it to be a scam.
This number called just before 7.00pm saying I owed approx £86 for Amazon. When I redialled the number it said not recognised.
