Scam - said they were from some sort of social housing repair team and asked what problems I've been having with my rental property, damp, repair needs etc. I pointed out I don't live in a rental property and they hung up.

I called the number someone called Tom answered and then hung up. I was then diverted to another number 01259 333 035 in Alloa, Scotland. This 2nd number had called me yesterday too. It seems suspicious.

Fraud He made me fall in love with him. Told me he had a £370,000 contract in Turkey to sign. But, after checking out the hotel (how did he pay the bill) had an accident on way to airport. Called saying they're from Carphone Warehouse, offering me an iphone. Thought I'd play along for a bit instead of hanging up. Asked where they're based so, so I could see if they're far from me. They hung up immediately. Ah well, so much for my game.

Persistently calling the last couple of digits of the number change to like 5176 or 5274 or 5175 etc. They call at antisocial hours eg Sunday mornings etc. I suspect, although I never answer, that they’re some kind of debt collector for councils.

This number sounds like a scam. Phone message left by well spoken woman about £300 Amazon charge and £1100 international money transfer against our account. Press 1 to cancel, 2 to speak to their support team. No mention of which bank or card.
1471 gave a short incomprehensible message. 1571 said no messages. Another tracking agency cites this cod with numbers beginning with 8 belongs to an insurance company.
