Then a few minutes later a guy calls back and at first it sounds like a computer program and then suddenly this mf is a Brummy gangsta "tryna sell some ganja" Just some kids probably or a lonely guy. Just block the number or speak a different language and like most cold callers they will disappear!

Called me claiming to be from O2 and asked me to tell them a code texted to my number. They are SCAMMERS, aka the lowest of the low.
SCAM selling something on gumtree sent a list of questions via txt which were answered in the advert. Very odd wording to txt using phrases like my dear friend will you accept me etc seems to be a paypal based scam as the last question was do you accept paypal bearing in mind this is for a car very suspect. Reported and blocked

This number should be a landline from areas of Otley, Ilkley and Guiseley. I haven't found any ratings for this number somewhere else on internet resources, which should be a good sign... Does someone have some experience with this one? Was trying also different formats of this number, but no luck.

Seems to be used for some telemarketing call center - this range of numbers 1618147xxx (common feature, they use more numbers of the same range) is mostly reported with PPI, accident chasers, RTA - claims of all kinds. Just block it if not interested (I use the app from these pages, no problems). People did they call you with the same or something new? I really don't answer unknown numbers and don't want to call them back...
