When they start into their crap, just tell them you might have something of interest to them and then start some fake selling line on them, just like they are trying on you!! They will go away! Worked for me!!

Said that because they’d refunded an overpayment that my account may show in arrears and I may receive an automated letter due to this error. They will remove it but wanted to let me know that they may not be able to stop the letter. If they’re making this many calls for this reason they should probably just have sent an email to everyone!

23 Nov 2021 - Silence at first, then a click and background call centre noise. An Asian person then said "Hello Maam, it's "Jacks from Carphone Warehouse. How are you today?" A scam call (standard visa dept suspicious payments scam) told me his name is Oliver Reed and I should call 02081447612 which he said was the number for "Nat West Anti Fraud Dept." I checked, it isn't. So I suspect the number is to the third-level scam master.

These people are 21st century robbers. They attempt to scam money out of people by scaring them. They ring up claiming that the individuals computer has a virus and charge them for cleaning the computer. Needless to say there is no virus.
