REALLY HALIFAX. IGNORE THE PEOPLE SAYING THIS IS A SCAM THEY ARE 100% WRONG. Turns out my emergency credit card had a fraudulent payment on it. I’ve never used the card so Halifax must have leaked my details, which is highly worrying. I was suspicious so I called the number on the back of my bank card to be safe but yes this is 100% Halifax’s fraud number. Call was regarding a recent accident. Answered to what initially sounded like a real person, but the responses were delayed and were clearly automated, and then said it would transfer me to a specialist who could help me. Blocked the number.
