Amazon scam call pre-recorded
Pushy mobile phone sales call and would not go away even after I made it clear that I wasn t interested in up-grading or changing contracts. In the end I had to just hang up. These calls are always a worry as they may phone my mum or elderly neighbours.

This number called me several times, but the call went silent. I called the number back (located in Shetlands) and I was put in to a queue which kept saying "Your call is important to us, please hold for the next available agent". After waiting for almost 4 minutes I hung up. This is probably another scam caller who has been banned from every other UK city so now they ve been forced to set up shop in the Shetlands. I ve now blocked the number.

I phone Lloyds (PhoneBank) number to be told that this number belongs to the Lloyds Credit Card Collection department (I had missed a payment due to personal circumstances) and they wanted their money. Like most people, I am suspicious of individuals whose language skills are a lot less than mine and have a heavy accent. My brother got a call from this number asking for a gas meter reading. He was not sure where the caller was from but a 1471 and internet search brought up this number as belonging to British Gas. However I am not with British Gas but with Southern Electric, for at least the last 6 years. I called Southern Electric who said they did not call for any reading and would not do so.
