Someone called asking for me, saying they re calling from Transcom about "an account". Asked me for my address, which they said was wrong, and kept asking for my previous addresses, saying it will be a previous address and can I confirm my previous addresses. Declined to give them anything further - asked them what it was about, they declined to say anything except "an account" and asked for my username. Claimed to be from Orange / EE and even though it wasn t a "marketing" call, as they put it, is was exactly that .. Hung up before they got the chase ..

Caller claimed they were calling because my Beko washing machine warranty had expired. I don t have a Beko washing machine. I gave this incorrect information to a unwanted cold call last week (Indian caller, UK Preference, claiming they were doing a survey). They have obviously passed my details to this company.

Caller identified herself as Julie Smith from Signet Advice (as far as I could tell with some background noise). Said she d been informed I was recently injured in a car accident that wasn t my fault. I asked her how she knew that. She replied that she was sorry to bother me and would remove my phone number from their database and hung up on me without pausing for breath. Pond scum. (My number is registered with TPS and I can t stand talking to idiots so I ve reported them)
